Geological and geomorphological Reserve, at about 3 km from Sebes (25 ha),on Plasii Hill, the road that connects the town to the village of Daia Romana  in the north. Rapa Rosie is a geological reserve, a  monument of nature (1969), with an area of 10 ha. Its walls were high between 80 and 100 m.

 The water  digging the hill about 60 million years ago left her shift strange forms: columns, towers, pyramids, all reddish color. Deep precipices open to the  left and to the right , and the rain water formed small bloody rivers , that fall to the bottom of the precipice, with a strange noise .

 The birds were digging  dozens of holes in the clay. Here live rare  plants (Ephedra distachya, Centaurca atropurpurea, Dianthus serotinus, and a rare species of Cephalaria radiated and fern-Asplenium adiantum nigrum). Descending towards the bridge over the Secas river, the attention is drawn by the  tunnels dug by the rain water that fall over time, forming huge ditches.

Detritice deposits from Rapa Rosie consist of an alternate of red clays, gray, red and white grit stones and  white limestone marne. These formations are easily friabile where the flow of the water accompanied by processes sufoziune, set and collapse  carved a  richness of forms that make Rapa Rosie monument of a rare beauty .. On the steep  Red Mountain the soil is washed and it appear clays, grit stones, conglomerates. Above all you can see the slightly reddish soil. On both sides of the mountain you can  meet brown forest soils . These are often associated with the rocks formed from carbonated soft ones(marne, marne clay, clays marne). In the meadow of Large Secaş  were formed soils that are permanently wet because of the  groundwater.

The Hydrography is represented by the Large Secas River with a length of 42 km and a basin area of 581 km2, but has a reduced flow because of the amount of very low rainfall, which falls on the Plateau Secas. Red Mountain existence is linked to the regressive erosion of a torrent, right affluent of the Large Secaş

 In time The Red Mountain has developed into a tourist attraction more and more often chosen  paragliding and deltaplan fliers that fly out of the hills in front of Red Mountain to the whole town and the surrounding hills.
