After the second war between the Romans and Dacians, Sebes area was within the sphere of influence of the Roman” Apulum “ together  with other settlements, "villae rusticae", which were connected through a network of roads.

A lot of archaeological findings (coins, ceramics, funerary monuments, rushlight, bricks bearing the stamp Legion XIII Gemina , etc..) certifies the Roman civilization in these lands.

Evidence of local population in this area, Sebes in IV-VI ,are attested archaeologically in Sebes, Daia Româna, Lancram, Petresti, Pianu de Jos and Ghirbom.
